Our latest APS product Synastry and Composite Charts is the most sophisticated research tool ever developed for astrological relationship analysis! This is a combination of both charts in a single file! Synastry is a fascinating and revealing study of how two individuals interact with each other and is based upon the two natal charts. The composite chart is based upon the calculation of the midpoints between the two charts’ aspects and points, a chart of the relationship itself. Both are popular ways of analyzing the dynamics of a relationship.

Most of the charts that we see of either type consist of ten objects or less that the astrologer is supposed to interpret when actually there is much more to the Solar System than this begging for inclusion. The problem has always been how to display more objects and interpret them effectively. At APS we’ve solved that problem. It is not to cram 30, 40 or 50 objects into a wheel with glyphs that no one can memorize and associate with the objects, drawing aspect lines to them that creates a maze of confusion. No, the solution is to present all the objects (522 in our product) on a single page with the aspects (30 in our product, more than in any other software program available) calculated to a precision of 1” between each object. The “best” software appears to calculate maybe 22 aspects, but how can you see them all displayed? You can’t!

WHAT IS PROVIDED IN THIS PRODUCT?

On the first page are the individual placements of 522 specially-selected objects (click here for the complete list), of which may be sorted by MPC number, Name, Declination, Ecliptic Longitude or Latitude, and Galactic Longitude or Latitude, the latter of which almost no astrologer looks at because their software doesn’t calculate them. Why not? Seems to be because of no interest. In any case, it’s another way to analyze the relationship, one we’ve found to be quite informative. For the aspect grid, you may choose between the Ecliptic or Galactic coordinate system, something never before available to astrologers. You may choose 25 of the 522 available to place at the top of the page for specialized analysis. There are 15 columns of objects at the top of the page, any of which another object within the 522 available objects or points may be selected instead to see its aspects.

The next page is Dominance Analysis. There are 14 charts/diagrams that display the dominance of Element, Sign, House Type, Hemisphere, etc. This analysis helps in many ways to interpret the dynamics of the relationship.

The Synastry and Composite pages have the same features as on page one, but on the left side is one natal chart, on the right is the other, all columns sortable, with the complete aspect grid in the middle. The last page of this product shows the 30 aspects that we use, the 3-letter abbreviations and orbs used with an interpretation of the aspects based upon the series (e.g., Two-Series, Three-Series, etc.).
