Description
Sun-Object Points: A Sun-Object Point is the point or event when the Sun is conjunct another particular object, e.g., Venus. We list three such events here. When such an event occurs prior to the birth of an individual, it reveals by its zodiacal and house placement the qualities of the other object that one is endowed with at birth, infused as it were with a solar directive and remaining a fixed point throughout life. These points indicate special talents, orientations, paths or goals, and in some cases karmic obligations incurred for this lifetime. In the analysis of many natal charts, we’ve noticed the importance and significance of these points and suggest their inclusion for further study. Each point listed here is for a 125-yr. period (from 1900 to 2025), with the most precise calculation of the event using the gold standard JPL Horizons, the JD number, the RA, DEC, LAT and LON (precise to 0.01 arc second), retrograde (Rx) status and if out-of-bounds (OOB).
1) Venus Star Point®️ (VSP): The most popular Sun-Object Point of the points we calculate in our charts, the VSP has been observed in many charts, natal and mundane, and is included in some astrological programs. This point has been studied extensively since 2004 and popularized by astrologer Arielle Guttman in her book Venus Star Rising: A New Cosmology for the 21st Century (2011). We have, however, discovered and noted a specific 64 yr. period that includes nine occurrences where Venus, the Evening Star, was OOB at this conjunction, something not noted anywhere in the book mentioned. We also include 16 celebrities born with one of these VSPs, linked to Astro-Databank for further study of this OOB significance. Included are the previous eight occurrences of Venus OOB (1791-1846), a 55 yr. period and the next seven occurrences (2042-2089), a 47 yr. period, for future analysis.
2) Sun-Lucifer Point®️ (SLP): We recommend that if astrologers use the VSP in charts, they should include the SLP as well. Considering that Venus, the Morning Star, has been regarded as Venus Phosphorus Lucifer since ancient times, it behooves us to attribute an association with the asteroid named 1930 Lucifer, discovered Oct. 29, 1964, with a 4.93 yr. cycle. As noted astrologer Robert Hand has expressed in no uncertain terms and other practitioners have concurred, “there is nothing Satanic about it,” either with Venus, the Morning Star, or with the associated asteroid Lucifer. Any good biblical scholar would also agree! We, therefore, condemn the scapegoating of the Morning Star that started around the 1st-century CE. Still to this day, there is unfortunately a hostile interpretive bias by most Christians, not to mention by a particular group of “evolutionary” astrologers, who promulgate this fiction. Instead, we recommend considering it as we find here (cf. 2 Pet. 1:19; Rev. 2:28; 22:16).
Of special interest with this SLP is Cycle 3, a 64 yr. pattern (1942-2011), with a midpoint of Mar. 29, 1977. Another interesting development is at the Quadrant 4 point where Lucifer appears to have rather hastily moved from 19º ♐︎ to 28º ♓︎, a 99.1965º angle, whereas the previous angle from 11º ♐︎ to 14º ♈︎ is a 122.4699º separation. One would think that Quadrant 4 should have started around 21º ♈︎ – the middle of the gap from 14º ♈︎ to 27º ♈︎, the LARGEST gap in the pattern.
3) Sun-Pandora Point®️ (SPP): Considering Pandora as the First Woman created on Earth, according to Greek myth, we recommend using this point as a significator in the chart of what gifts one might have been blessed with at birth to share and experience with others. An analysis of this point, as well the natal position of the asteroid by Sign and House, should reveal why there is evil in the world, how it is to be confronted and how we can gain access to the necessary hope to overcome it. We suggest that prior to her creation, there was another human race that is the cause of the evils and misfortunes that so angered Zeus to encapsulate them into her jar, upon which after opening her descendants would have to experience. This SPP, along with the asteroids 55 Pandora and 59 Elpis, points to HOPE, the only thing that remained in Pandora’s jar, and how through uniting with Spirit (i.e., the Sun) to advance to the next evolutionary stage.
